Top Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in UAE, Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the navigation and maps category on the Android platform in the United Arab Emirates saw varying performance among the top applications. Data sourced from Sensor Tower highlights these trends.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 16K and peaking at 19K in early April, before declining to about 11.7K by the end of June. Active users showed a slight decrease overall, with numbers ranging from around 378K to 340K.

2GIS: Offline map & navigation maintained a stable download pattern, averaging around 5K weekly, with a noticeable increase to 6.5K in the final week of June. Active users began at 125K, dropping to around 109K by the quarter's end.

Google Earth showed consistent download figures, with a small peak of 3.2K in mid-June. Active users saw a gradual increase from 28K to just over 30K during the quarter.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer had a steady download rate, averaging around 2.5K weekly. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around 6K.

Muslim Prayer - Qibla Compass experienced a gradual decline in downloads from 3.1K to 1.9K. Revenue was minimal but showed a slight increase at the end of June. Active users decreased from 13K to about 9.6K.
